Recommended sleep time for a pregnant woman is???

So, I fell asleep at my desk at work today. I was so stinking tired after lunch that I just thought I would lay my head down for a few minutes and close my eyes for just a second and I just kept nodding off! Thank goodness everyone knows I'm pregnant or they would think I needed more sleep. I went to bed at 9 o'clock last night!

There should be some kind of rule enforced about nap time after lunch, especially for pregnant women. Like kindergarten...when you refused to sleep! Now, I would give up an hour of pay to have that back!

I also sneaked down to the radiology department early this morning to have one of the techs peek at my little baby. I work at a hospital and they all know what I've been through, so the girl that was down there didn't hesitate when I asked. Even though I just had an ultrasound on Tuesday. Anyway, baby was there and bouncing around with a strong heartbeat at 183! I'm going to keep my freak outs to a minimum and try not to bug them too much!

I really should be in bed now, but I'm working on being a better blogger.  But, I'm headed there now! Night!

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

In my opinion

Being on bed rest has made me a reading fanatic. I usually read, but in the past week I have went through three books. Well, I am almost done with my third. As I mentioned last post I had been reading "Behind the Bell" by Dustin Diamond. I was a big "Saved by the Bell" fan in the 90s and this book supposedly told the "backstage secrets" that nobody knew about, told by nobody other than Screech himself. If anyone took the time to watch Dustin Diamond on the VH1 show "Celebrity Fit Club" they could tell what kind of treat they would be in for with this book. The stories he wrote about were pretty bogus and hard to believe, but maybe I'm wrong. You can always pick up a copy and decide for yourself. I just find it a little far fetched that he has been with over 2,000 women as he claims in one of the later chapters. To each her own I guess. I am now reading the newest release in my favorite series of books. "U if for Undertow" by Sue...

The Shake

When I signed up to be a coach I didn't really plan to use Shakeology.  I had never tried it before and I really was just so sold by the workouts that I didn't think buying the shakes would really add that much more to my new lifestyle.  But it all kind of came with the territory and I thought I may as well give them a try to see what they were like.  I ordered the cafe latte, because according to research I had done that flavor along with chocolate was their biggest sellers.  And I like coffee. It came quicker than expected and I was super excited to try it.  It was a little strong on flavor.  The first mixture I tried was using just unsweetened almond milk and I've now been adding water along with that to cut down the strong flavor.  I sometimes add oats, frozen bananas, mint extract (careful with this one, a drop or two will do.  I learned that the hard way) or peanut butter.  But there are loads of recipes if you search around.  ...
